The School of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking applications for a Graduate Hourly for AY 2015-2016.

Primary Position Function/Summary:

Participate as part of a research team that conducts evaluations of child welfare policies and practices. Assist in the data collection activities, which include survey data collection and interviews and focus groups.  Assist in the data analysis and presentation of evaluation findings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend regularly scheduled evaluation team meetings
  • Conduct literature searches and write literature reviews
  • Assist in primary data collection activities through survey development and administration, interviews and focus groups, and case file reviews
  • Assist with data entry and management of confidential information
  • With supervision, analyze qualitative and quantitative data
  • Assist with the preparation of research results for funders and/or publication

Minimum Experience:  Previous research experience strongly preferred

Knowledge Requirements:  This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills,

Ability to work independently and effectively follow through on multiple priorities under deadline pressure, Experience with statistical software programs (SPSS, NVivo) preferred, Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential and sensitive data.

Hourly Wage is $16.14 per hour.
