Cunningham Children’s Home

Students used statistical analysis skills on data provided by Cunningham Children’s Home.  Results will be used by the agency to improve services.

Faith in Action

Students recruited volunteers and also organized and performed chore days for seniors in the Faith in Action program that are unable to rake leaves and clean gutters.

Hope Center

Students researched job resources and training opportunities available in Champaign County. They developed a resource guide and created a 2-hour training session to Hope Center Life Encouragers to build around the results of this work.

Restoration Urban Ministries, Parent Wonders, Healthy Aging – Presence, Carle Foundation Hospital, and Franklin Middle School

Students developed a program evaluation for these agencies and handed them a finished product at the completion of the semester.

Illini Hillel

Students assisted this agency by locating and applying for a grant and they were awarded a $1000 grant.

Harbor Light Hospice

Students worked to research and create a project that serves to identify activities recommended for patients with dementia. The students were to present their findings to the Harbor Light Hospice staff. Projects will become part of the hospice library of resources for future volunteers to use in their service.

Center for Women in Transition, Crisis Nursery, First Presbyterian Church, Hillel – Cohen Center for Jewish Life, and Regional Office of Education

Students developed a comprehensive agency manual which was turned in to each agency at the completion of the semester.
