Flavia Andrade

Educational Background

Flavia Andrade is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America. Prior to coming to UI, she was a postdoc at the University of Chicago at the Harris School of Public Policy. She has a BA (Economic) and an MA (Demography) from Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, and an MS (Population Health) and a PhD (Sociology) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Research Interests

Professor Andrade is interested in how demographic, epidemiological and nutritional changes as well as social disparities influence the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of Latinos in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and in the US.
