New iMSW Program-Fully Online
Get your iMSW from wherever you are.
Introducing the fully online iMSW program in Leadership and Social Change.
The iMSW in Leadership and Social Change is a part-time MSW program that offers convenience and flexibility for practitioners who live in rural and urban communities that are a distance from the University of Illinois campus, as well as for practitioners who live in the local community, but whose work schedule isn’t conducive to enrollment in a full-time program.
The Leadership and Social Change Concentration focuses on educating students in areas of macro practice such as: human services management, grant writing and policy advocacy. Degree requirements for the iMSW Online program are identical to the MSW Campus Program, however, students can now complete their MSW without ever having to come to campus.
Dedicated field staff work closely with our online students to develop and complete quality block field placements in the same manner we work with our on-campus students. Students will receive the same quality education that the University of Illinois School of Social Work is long known for.
Why now? With the changing needs of the social work profession, the School has seen increased interest from professionals who want to gain knowledge and skills in macro practice. The School of Social Work is committed to responding to the needs of the profession, and through offering this online format, we will have a greater impact in educating the next generation of social workers.
