Cunningham Children’s Home in Urbana, IL, a residential treatment program for children and adolescents with serious emotional and behavioral disabilities, is seeking an overnight Youth Counselor Night Shift Leader. The Night Shift Leader will assure that all units are safe and are providing therapeutic programming from the hours of 7p-7a. Additionally, the Night Shift Leader functions in the role as staff supervisor, with oversight from the Night Milieu Coordinator. The overall management of the Residential program is a core responsibility of this position. Direct coaching and support of staff is accomplished by the Night Shift Leader by observing staff working directly with clients as well as supervising youth ages 9-16 in a home-like therapeutic milieu. BA or BS in Human Services required (social work, psychology), and 2 years of experience in a related field. Typical rotating hours are 7pm to 7am four days per week (including weekends).

Prospective employees must be at least 21 years old, have excellent written and oral communication skills, possess a valid Illinois driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, and be able to handle confidential information.
