Supervises and directs assignments and activities of staff ensuring the provision of quality, professional services in a safe and therapeutic manner to persons served who are seriously mentally ill and developmentally disabled. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Care coordination/Documentation

Provide person centered care coordination services from admission to discharge to persons served as directed by policy, procedures, Medicaid, CILA, IDPH and other applicable rules.
Proactively ensure regular opportunities for family involvement and community integration to enhance the treatment experience of the person served.
Consistently complete in an accurate and timely manner: assessment, treatment agreements/reviews, progress notes, correspondence and other documentation required to obtain/maintain entitlements.
Assist in screening and admission process for assigned group homes.
Develop individual and group programming curriculum consistent with person centered plans and outcome documentation
Staff supervision, scheduling and development

Provide clinical supervision monthly (at minimum) to all subordinate staff accompanied by documentation on each clinical recorded.
Provide and document monthly supervision of each direct service staff assigned utilizing job description to document supervision, including case consultation.
Conduct 30, 60, 90 day and annual performance appraisals in a timely manner for all assigned subordinate staff.
Enhance skills of staff supervised as appropriate, in the areas of technical knowledge, work management, communication, and conflict management through teaching/modeling.
Coordinate all staff development activities per policy and procedure ensuring consistent compliance with all training requirements.
Ensure 24 hour per day staff coverage at all times using properly trained staff in the most economical fashion with a goal to reduce overtime for shift coverage by 5%.
Act as information and training source for all staff. Maintain resource library.
Provide supervisory on-call coverage 1 week per month at minimum consistent with policy and procedures.
Assist in screening and interviewing applicants.
Environmental management

Ensure that the facilities supervised are clean, safe, and maintained at all times.
Ensure completion and documentation of monthly emergency drills, safety surveys, and water temperatures consistently as scheduled.
Ensure proper equipment and supplies are available at all times – supervise and ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Consistently supervise through resolution all environmental management issues in a timely manner.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field with three years of work experience in the human service field, including supervisor experience, preferred.
