School to Host Poverty Simulation as Part of MLK, JR. Celebration

Of all of Dr. Martin Luther King’s messages, one of his most prominent was the issue of poverty. The School of Social Work at Illinois will host a poverty simulation to help Urbana-Champaign, and the campus to better understand the issues, hurdles, and roadblocks that individuals living in poverty face. The simulation will provide an opportunity for participants to debrief their experiences and how they can begin to tackle challenges of poverty in Champaign County. This event is invitation only.
