The School of Social Work seeks applications for a Visiting Evaluation Specialist for the grant-funded Illinois Behavioral Health Workforce Education, Learning & Leadership (BHWELL) HRSA Scholars Program. This is a 25% FTE, 12-month academic professional appointment. The Visiting Evaluation Specialist will work under the leadership and supervision of the Project Director/Principal Investigator (PD/PI).

The Visiting Evaluation Specialist collects and manages data while ensuring compliance with HRSA evaluation and reporting requirements and generates reports as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor system and protocols for data collection from online surveys, perform routine merges,  and maintain user friendly data files;
  • Collect monthly program data in HRSA-compliant format;
  • Generate annual reports for HRSA;
  • Create monthly reports to use data as feedback for project teams to engage in Rapid Cycle Quality Improvement (RCQI) processes;
  • Participate in leadership team meetings as needed to facilitate RCQI processes;
  • Ensure planned quantitative and qualitative assessments occur on schedule;
  • Consult with leadership team, field office, and other relevant parties to coordinate timing of student and field supervisor surveys;
  • Coordinate with SSW post-graduate survey to avoid duplication and establish data collection system that ensures HRSA relevant employment data are collected after graduation on all students and among HRSA trainees for a minimum of 5 years after graduation.

Minimum Education and Work Experience: A master’s degree in a social science or public health field.  At least two years of data collection and analysis experience. Experience with federal grant reporting requirements preferred.

Knowledge Requirements:  Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills.

This is a part-time (25%), twelve-month visiting academic professional position. This is a grant-funded and renewal is contingent upon availability of funds. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Position may become permanent, depending on funding and needs of the department. The proposed start date is as soon as possible after the closing date.
