Join Dr. Meghan McHaney, founder of Trauma Treatment & Training PLLC, in learning how highly sought after, research backed models apply exposure based interventions! Learn how exposure directly targets the underlying causes of posttraumatic stress, obsessive compulsive disorder, and anxiety disorders. Come ready to blend science and art, creatively building treatment plans that will supercharge your clinical work!
Please note: This registration will be capped at 30 attendees. A light lunch will be included during the session. Only metered parking is available near the building.

- Explore the physiological aspects of exposure
- Describe how exposure-based interventions are applied in treating PTSD, OCD, and Anxiety

- Reflect on ways your unique personality and prior clinical experience could inform exposure-based interventions
Workshop Presenter

Meghan McHaney, DSW, LCSW earned her LCSW in 2014, beginning her clinical career at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Over time she began specializing in PTSD treatment, becoming certified in EMDR and training extensively in evidence based trauma treatment. Meghan served as the Executive Director of SIU’s Survivor Recovery Center, also providing hands-on education to medical students as an Assistant Professor of Family & Community Medicine. She was a founding member of SIU’s Student Hotspotting program in partnership with the National Center for Complex Health & Social Needs, helping train medical students to work with individuals in the community who struggle to access healthcare. She has taught two semesters at UIUC SSW and is a member of UIUC SSW’s new Alumni & Community Engagement Board. Meghan is in the process of seeking certification in Traumatic Stress Studies from the Trauma Research Foundation. Currently Meghan is the owner of Trauma Treatment & Training PLLC, based in Illinois and New Hampshire, providing therapy, training, and clinical mentorship with a focus on newly graduated clinicians.
