SWOT funding has been fully awarded
All available funding through the Social Worker Opportunity Tracks (SWOT) grant has been awarded. The program is not accepting new funding applications at this time.
The SWOT grant was established through a partnership between the University of Illinois School of Social Work and the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board. This workforce development initiative helped address behavioral health needs in Winnebago County by supporting students pursuing Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees.
Eligible students could receive up to $20,000 toward an online BSW or MSW degree while preparing to live and work in Winnebago County after graduation.

The School of Social Work remains committed to developing partnerships that expand access to social work education and strengthen the behavioral health workforce in communities across Illinois.
