The Association of Black Social Workers advocates for the well-being of Black communities through culturally responsive social work and social justice. They offer mentorship, professional development, networking, and advocacy training while promoting leadership and systemic change. The NABSW’s mission aligns with creating inclusive, equitable communities.
Latino Social Work Organization
The Latino Social Work Organization (LSWO) is a national group dedicated to supporting Latinx social workers and social work students. Its mission focuses on promoting social, racial, and economic justice while addressing the unique needs of Latinx communities. The organization offers professional development opportunities, networking events, and an annual conference that brings together practitioners, educators, and students to share knowledge, build connections, and advocate for equity in social work practice.
The LSWO also works to increase the representation of Latinx professionals in the field, supporting culturally responsive services and encouraging the next generation of social workers through mentorship and scholarship programs.

Social Works! is a dynamic and supportive community, offering a dedicated study space and peer mentoring opportunities. Social Works! mission is to empower students through mentoring, workshops, events, and more. Whether you need help with homework, writing, resume building, or just navigating your academic journey, our peer mentors are here to guide and support you every step of the way. Join us to connect, learn, and grow together in a welcoming and collaborative environment! The Social Work Student Mentor Group meets every Monday through Thursday from 3–5 p.m. in Room 2015.
