Exploring Social Work: Community Contributions Day Program

The School of Social Work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to participate in the Exploring Social Work: Community Contributions Day Program

  • June 28, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM

This engaging one-day program introduces students to the field of social work and its impact on communities. Participants will gain hands-on experience through volunteering with the Wesley Food Pantry, allowing them to explore service learning in action and see how it connects to social work practice.

Program Highlights:

  • Hands-on volunteer experience with the Wesley Food Pantry
  • Introduction to social work and its role in community service
  • Opportunities to develop leadership and volunteer skills
  • Lunch and a program t-shirt included

The program fee is $75 per student. This is an excellent opportunity for students considering a career in social work to gain insight into the profession while making a meaningful contribution to their community.
