Advocacy Day 2016

Join an anticipated 1,000 Social Workers and Social Work students from across the state of Illinois to attend Advocacy Day on Tuesday, April 5th in Springfield, Illinois.

The day will encompass a half day of educational seminars on lobbying in Illinois followed by advocating at the Capitol.

The cost to attend is $10 if you register prior to March 1st. After March 1st, the fee increases to $15. If you plan to attend, you need to register individually, online.

The School of Social Work will be arranging transportation for students to and from Springfield on Advocacy Day. More information will be posted regarding bus sign-up.

Prior to Advocacy Day, a representative from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Illinois Chapter will speak to students about NASW, what to expect on Advocacy Day and why Advocacy Day is important. Details will be forthcoming.
