Giving
Racial discrimination, domestic violence, sexual assault, child endangerment, addiction…these are just a few of the many issues in our communities that School of Social Work students, faculty, and alumni are working on solving each and every day.
When you make a gift to support the SSW, you are doing more than donating critical resources. You are helping put an end to racial injustice. You are standing up for women and children that have been marginalized and abused. You are helping put an end to issues of inequality and inequity in our communities. You are becoming an agent of change, and making a difference where it matters most.

Priority Funds
Social Work Annual Fund
The Social Work Annual Fund offers vital unrestricted support for our school’s social work programs and operations, ensuring that every student, faculty member, and staff member has access to the resources and support they need. With its flexible allocation, the fund responds to the most pressing priorities, directing funds where they are needed most at any given time.
Fund for Field
The Fund for Field is designed to eliminate the financial barriers that often hinder students’ ability to fully engage in their Social Work field internships. By providing financial relief for essential needs such as onboarding fees, groceries, gas, and other vital expenses, this fund empowers students to focus on what matters most—building their skills and honing their expertise in real-world social work settings. When students no longer have to worry about basic financial pressures, they can devote themselves more fully to their clients and their professional development, ensuring they graduate as confident, capable social workers ready to make an impact in the field.
The Student Support Fund
The Student Support Fund is being created in response to the growing needs and unforeseen vulnerabilities of students at the School of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, both now and in the future. This ensures that students will not have to choose between their education and meeting their most basic needs. Ranging from issues such as food insecurity to making rent payments, this support fund helps alleviate the financial burden many students are facing which can significantly hinder learning and educational progress.
