Clarissa Leman, an alumna of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies in 2014 and her Master of Social Work in 2016. After working as a school social worker for a special education cooperative, Clarissa began her career at Illinois in 2017. She served as an academic advisor to undergraduate students in both the Division of General Studies as well as the Department of Political Science prior to beginning her role as the Undergraduate Affairs Coordinator for the School of Social Work in 2021.
As the Undergraduate Affairs Coordinator, Clarissa is responsible for coordinating undergraduate recruitment and admissions efforts, as well as representing the School of Social Work at related events. She also works closely with the student affairs team in providing mentorship and services to students to holistically support their academic success.
