Ga-Young Jin

Ga-Young Jin, LSW, is an alum of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign School of Social Work, having received her BSW in 2014 and her MSW in 2015 with a concentration in Leadership and Social Change (LSC). Ga-Young’s background and passion for student support, community engagement, program coordination, and outreach efforts have led her to pursue her current position as the BHWELL Program Coordinator within the School of Social Work. Before joining the BHWELL team, Ga-Young served as the BSW Field Liaison within the School of Social Work Field Office, ensuring students’ academic and professional development, and providing ongoing support to students in their internship experiences. Ga-Young has also worked for the School of Social Work’s Community Learning Lab as the CLL Liaison, collaborating with students, community partners, and faculty/staff to promote student learning engagement, community service opportunities, and curriculum enhancement. In her free time, Ga-Young enjoys cooking Korean dishes with new recipes, spending time with her family, and taking her children to various community events in town.
