Nicole Cantoni earned both her MSW and her B.S. in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. After earning her MSW Nicole worked as a Case Manager at a homeless social services center, which built upon her clinical experience and helped her to discover new research interests.
Nicole’s current research interests focus on the development of new interventions utilizing animal therapy specifically for children in the welfare system. Nicole is interested in pursuing research on the best ways to help and stabilize at-risk-of-homelessness and homeless families.
