About

Dr. Reinhart is a Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Prevention Research and Development. She received her PhD in Community Psychology from Wichita State University in 2010 and has been with the center since 2009. Her expertise includes survey development, mixed methods evaluation design, qualitative research, program evaluation, and large-scale data collection.

Dr. Reinhart’s specific research interests are related to cancer survivorship and the prevention and treatment of opioid use disorder. Her research in cancer survivorship over the past 5 years has included evaluating survivorship services for young adult blood cancer survivors, specifically financial navigation and mental health, in partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In addition, Dr. Reinhart serves on multiple advisory boards, holds peer-reviewed publications from various cancer-related studies, and has served as both a grant and journal reviewer. Dr. Reinhart also has a strong interest in the prevention of substance use disorders. She is a member of the Illinois Opioid Advisory Council and is currently working on an evaluation of the Medicaid 1115 Waiver to improve the treatment of opioid use disorder. Finally, she is the project manager for the Illinois Youth Survey, a statewide survey of youth in Illinois that assesses a variety of health and social indicators, including drug use and perceptions in middle and high school aged youth.
