The Residential Therapist II bears major responsibility for the therapy and coordination of services for children living on residential units. Duties of the Residential Therapist include, but are not limited to: Having the primary responsibility of carrying out group-focused work centered around the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency [ARC] framework. This includes facilitating therapy groups, researching and writing group curriculum, and leading the implementation of ARC principles into the milieu groups by providing instruction and coaching to staff who facilitate such groups. Although groups are a focal area for Residential Therapist II, this individual will also have a small caseload of individual and family clients. Furthermore, duties include: Documenting therapeutic services, participating in program development as it relates to the integration of therapeutic principles, conducting training, and providing clinical leadership to the treatment team.
