POSITION: Wellness Coaching Graduate Intern, Campus Recreation
JOB SUMMARY:
As the Wellness Coaching Graduate Intern, you will assist the Associate Director, Assessment and Student Wellness to provide oversight and guidance to ensure the effective implementation of the Student Wellness Coaching program in Campus Recreation.

Undergraduate Wellness Coaching Interns (5-10)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work as a member of the Campus Recreation Wellness Team and under the direction of the Associate Director;
Student Wellness Coaching Operations & Administration
- Facilitate 1-on-1 and team meetings, overall training, and any administrative updates
- Manage scheduling of sessions and workload allocation
- Continued development of operational procedures
- Conduct performance evaluations and goal setting
- Administrative tasks such as; updates to the canvas based training course, grading of assignments, scheduling sessions
- Assist with the development of the registration in fusion and the marketing materials
Student Development & Supervision
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate approximately 5 – 10 undergraduate interns each semester (fall and spring)
- Provide leadership and serve as a resource to interns
- Lead training and developmental opportunities for interns
- Evaluate interns’ performance and provide constructive feedback
Developmental Opportunities
- Adhere to and maintain divisional performance criteria at a satisfactory level; maintain current certifications
- Collaborate with other Campus Recreation units as needed to execute array of assessment efforts for diverse participants.
- Conference and professional development travel opportunities – on and off-campus
- Opportunities to work in different areas of Campus Recreation to broaden recreational learning experience and serve on departmental committees
- Based on applicant’s desired interest areas, can be flexible creating leadership roles and working opportunities within the Department
- Participation in departmental committees
- Assist with other Campus Recreation programs as needed.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Must have supervisory experience.
- Must have educational background in a health and wellness field. Example. I-health, Community Health, Public Health, Social Work, and/or Psychology.
minimum work requirements:
- Position requires flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and academic break periods as necessary
- Position requires an average of 20 hours/week at a rate of $24.74/hour
- This position is subject to a university mandated background check
