Location: Mundelein, IL
Pay Range: $56,000 - $69,000
Schedule: Full-Time | Contract to Hire for 2025-2026 School Year

What You’ll Do:
As the School Social Worker, you’ll play a central role in supporting students' emotional, behavioral, and social well-being through:- Individual and small group sessions focused on emotional regulation, social skills, and peer relationships
- Behavioral support and classroom observations, including development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Family engagement and collaboration to strengthen the school-home connection
- Crisis response support for students and staff as needed
- Contributions to IEP development and goal tracking
What You Bring on Day One:
To hit the ground running, you should have:- Experience working with students from low to middle socio-economic backgrounds
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with diverse learners
- Skills in behavior observation, crisis management, and social-emotional development
- Confidence navigating IEP processes and family collaboration
Onboarding & Day One:
You’ll be welcomed into a structured and thoughtful onboarding process that includes:- Setup of facility access, school systems, and tools
- Walkthrough of classroom layouts and student pull-out logistics
- Review of incoming and returning student needs
- Family introductions and participation in full teacher orientation before students arrive
A Typical Day/Week:
- Pull-out sessions for individual and small group work
- Time for classroom observations to assess behaviors and develop intervention strategies
- Daily collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- IEP and documentation support
- On-call support for urgent student needs or crisis intervention
