Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of behavioral health services to youth and adult clients involved in the legal system. This role includes, but is not limited to, case management, crisis intervention, skills training, individual counseling, medication monitoring, and ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately and within required timeframes. The Team Leader plays a key role in helping clients fulfill court-mandated requirements by delivering advanced clinical services and facilitating therapeutic and skills-based groups. In addition to direct client care, the Team Leader serves as the primary point of contact for clinical questions and problem-solving within the team.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related behavioral health fields
- Must qualify as a QMHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132
- Demonstrated experience in supervising a team in a social service setting
- Ability to motivate and solve problems with staff
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and personalities
- Knowledge of effective crisis intervention approaches to reduce the impact of increased symptoms on the client and their caretaker
- Skills to adapt verbal and written communication to the language style of the client and their family
- Ability to adequately assess and re-assess diagnosis, functional limitations and develop plans for reducing these limitations
- Experience in coordinating services with a range of community resources
- Proficient with computers and electronic health records (EHR); able to complete documentation accurately and within designated timeframes
- Displays a calm, empathetic and professional demeanor
- Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet agency insurance requirements
- Must have own transportation to travel to various sites

Responsibilities
- Work hours prescribed and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned
- Use available data to monitor effective team behavior in compliance with standards.
- Provide staff feedback on performance via team meetings, monthly supervision and annual reviews or individual feedback when needed.
- Participate as part of the management team providing support to the team and other departmental staff
- Complete all necessary monthly and quarterly reports by appropriate timelines.
- Participate in the on-call system.
- Complete all clinical documentation based on all appropriate regulatory requirements and Rosecrance policy
- Utilize a variety of treatment concepts, evidence-based practices and service modalities when providing care
- Demonstrate an ability to identify an individual in crisis, reduce the impact of the crisis on the individual and their supports and determine appropriate disposition
- Provide leadership by demonstrating self-motivation, seeking improved performance, problem solving while meeting the needs of the staff and consumer
- Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional Code of Conduct and within the framework of the law.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
- Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
- Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management.

- Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Shift: Monday – Friday

Compensation & Rewards
- Base Pay: Starting at $55,000/year
