Children and Family Research Center (CFRC)
Since 1996, the Children and Family Research Center has led university-agency partnerships to improve public child welfare systems. It supports policy-relevant research and fosters collaboration to advance child welfare initiatives.

Center for Prevention Research and Development (CPRD)
Since 1989, the Center for Prevention Research and Development has built strong partnerships to support prevention work nationwide. It focuses on school reform, after-school evaluation, health and human service reform, and prevention science.

Identifying Depression through Early Assessment (IDEA) Research Team
The IDEA research team studies risk factors for depressive disorders in women. They focus on collaborative care in healthcare settings to improve women’s health outcomes.

The Violence Prevention Research Lab
The Violence Prevention Research Lab studies the development and prevention of various forms of violence in adolescence and young adulthood. Led by Dr. Rachel Garthe, the team includes students from Social Work, Psychology, and Statistics.

Queer Intersections, Inclusion, and Innovation (Qi3) Lab
The Qi3 Lab researches LGBTQ+ community, culture, and well-being, focusing on oppression, strength, and liberation. Led by Dr. Ryan Wade, the team includes UIUC students and staff from various disciplines.

Dismantling Racism & Inequities Lab
The DRI Lab develops long-term, community-based solutions to improve the well-being of underserved women and local communities in Central and Southern Illinois, including those traveling for care. Led by Professor Tuyet-Mai Hoang, the lab brings together community members, providers, patients, advocates, and researchers to drive meaningful change.
