ONGOING: Moore Inventor Fellows 2025
Gordon Moore’s contribution to the development of microelectronics helped produce the exponential growth of the digital revolution. In the spirit of Moore’s passion for science and penchant for inventing, the foundation seeks to support people who create new tools, technologies, processes, or approaches with a high potential to accelerate progress in the foundation’s three main areas of interest: scientific research, environmental conservation and patient care.
Due November 24: Beckman Institute Postdoctoral Fellows 2026
Three annual postdoctoral fellowship programs that support outstanding scientists at the Beckman Institute offer a unique opportunity for selected scholars to engage in a three-year fellowship of interdisciplinary research at the Beckman Institute.
Due December 8: NTU/UI Joint Funding Program
The University of Illinois System has announced a new call for proposals for the Joint Research and Innovation Seed Grant program in collaboration with National Taiwan University. This program aims to facilitate research and development cooperation and delivery of talent, innovations and resources from these universities to the marketplace. Proposals should focus on the areas of health and medicine, data science and artificial intelligence, sustainability, quantum and semiconductor, and social sciences. Also announced is the Travel Grants program. Proposals for both programs are due on Dec. 8.
Due December 15th: Spencer Foundation Research Grants on Education: Small Grant
This supports education research projects with budgets up to $50,000 for projects ranging from one to five years. The goal for this program is to support rigorous, intellectually ambitious and technically sound research that is relevant to the most pressing questions and compelling opportunities in education.
Due December 30: Office for Arts Integration Small Grants 2025
The Office for Arts Integration invites projects centering artistic inquiry that expands research through the creative, conceptual, and unique approaches to ideas and collaborations with and amongst intellectual peers and students across the institution and our various communities.
