Sue Keller (MSW, ’14, BSLAS, ’92) was a local legend in social work, providing mental health services through various organizations, including the Crisis Line and the Men’s Emergency Shelter, and her private practice. She led the Downstate Illinois Society for Clinical Social Work, promoting affordable continuing education for mental healthcare providers. Known for her joy, dedication, and commitment to affordable and accessible counseling services, this scholarship intends to support and inspire MSW students to carry on Sue’s legacy of helping others and spreading joy.

Provides financial support and creates opportunities for students to participate in study abroad and other international experiential learning programs through the School of Social Work.

This scholarship fund honors Dr. Carter-Black's nearly four decades of advocacy and leadership and the countless lives she has touched during her career. *All gifts to this new fund will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $25,000.*

The Community Learning Lab (CLL) creates and supports relationships between the community and the students at the University of Illinois in a partnership that is mutually beneficial in the areas of sustainability, service, growth, and education.

Michael C. Langendorf devoted his life to the social work profession. He was a caring and dedicated friend to many at the School of Social Work (SSW), the local community, and beyond. This scholarship will provide financial support for MSW students pursuing careers in the school social work profession and recognize a person that believed in making a difference in the lives of others through service and friendship.
