About

Illinois BHWELL is a clinical certificate and scholarship program at the University of Illinois for MSW students who want to learn team-based models for integrating health and mental health services in primary care settings in rural and underserved areas. BHWELL is funded by a four-year grant from the Healthcare Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded to the School of Social Work. As the Program Coordinator, Andrea works closely with the BHWELL Principal Investigator (PI) and is responsible for achieving multi-year grant goals. Andrea supports and contributes to all aspects of the project, including recruitment, training, evaluation, and annual reports.

Andrea holds a master’s degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in Community Health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has worked in the community of Champaign-Urbana for the past 10 years and has experience as a bilingual home visitor for vulnerable families.
