What I Do
Christine has spent most of her career working in the field of Forensic Interviewing in Children’s Advocacy Center settings. Christine has managed social workers, Forensic Interviewers and developed a Quality Improvement program. Christine has also worked with patients in an outpatient chemical dependency and mental health program.
Christine is the Social Work Discipline Coordinator for the Illinois Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) Program which provides long-term, graduate level interdisciplinary training designed to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals with disabilities. She is a former board member of the Illinois National Association of Social Workers (NASW). She has served as an Association of Social Work Boards panelist at the standard setting meeting for the 2018 social work licensing exams and currently is a LCSW exam item writer.
Education
Christine Escobar-Sawicki joined the Field Education Team in 2011 and is based in the Chicago land area. She is a Chicago Public Schools graduate. After obtaining her BSW (1995) from Illinois State University, Christine obtained her Master of Social Work (1997) from The University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration.
