What I Do
Lindsey Trout graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Masters of Social Work as well as a Masters of Education Policy, Organization & Leadership. Lindsey is a school social worker, and has practiced in rural and urban settings, and at the pre-k thru 12th grade level. She has experience as a public school administrator for an alternative to suspension and behavioral support program. Lindsey holds a school social work license, school administrator license, and is a licensed clinical social worker. Lindsey’s interest include early childhood school social work, therapeutic crisis intervention and supports in schools, and evaluation as it pertains to educational staff.
Lindsey has served as a board member for the Illinois Association of School Social Workers, as is currently serving on the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Social Work Examining and Disciplinary Board. She was an adjunct instructor for the School of Social Work from 2013-2016. Lindsey joined the Field Office as a Clinical Assistant Professor in June 2020.
