Trout Named MSW Field Director

Lindsey Trout has been named MSW Field Director, effective Monday, August 23, 2021. Lindsey has been an integral part of the School of Social Work’s MSW field team since 2020. Lindsey brings extensive experience as a school social worker in both Urbana and Villa Grove school districts and served as the ACTIONS Program Administrator for Champaign Unit 4 Schools. Lindsey is an MSW alumna of our program and also holds a Masters of Education from the University of Illinois College of Education. She has also previously served as an adjunct instructor for the School of Social Work.

When asked about her new position and duties, Trout replied, “I am very excited about moving into the role of MSW Field Director at the School of Social Work. The field experience is such an important time for students to learn and grow as practitioners. I am fortunate to work with a wonderful and dedicated team who go above and beyond to support our MSW students during their field placements. I look forward to maintaining our well-established relationships with field sites and instructors, as well as exploring more unique and diverse field possibilities for our students.”
