Training information
The PRIDE program facilitates Illinois’ training to prospective and current fostering, prospective adoptive, and relative caregivers through classroom (in-person and virtual), online on-demand, and a hybrid learning approach. In addition to facilitating the required pre-service trainings for caregivers, this program offers a wide range of on-going trainings for caregivers to satisfy continuing clock hour requirements associated with their foster parent license. This program also collaborates with child welfare licensing staff to support additional training needs that may be identified for caregivers.
Training topics:
- Adoption/Guardianship readiness
- Attachment and the Teen
- Discipline
