As the Online Education Coordinator, Justin provides a leadership role in the development and operation of School of Social Work online programs, digital teaching and learning infrastructure development, and promotion and facilitation of innovative technology-assisted practices both in online and in-person classes. He also collaborates with faculty and instructors on issues related to online teaching and learning, as well as innovative technology use in in-person classes.
Justin holds a PhD in Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He received his MA from Virginia Tech and a BA from Texas A&M, both in philosophy. Prior to joining the School of Social Work, Justin worked as an instructional designer at the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning here at the university, working with instructors to create online courses, consulting on best practices for online delivery, as well as researching current trends in online teaching and learning.
