Education
Simon holds a master’s degree of Public Health from Lund University, Sweden, and MA and BA of Sociology from Makerere University Kampala, Uganda.
Research
For the last 10 years while working at Uganda’s AIDS Control Program, Ministry of Health, Simon developed and implemented psychosocial, behavior change and communication and STI/HIV prevention programs for adolescents, sex workers, and refugees. His research interests include HIV prevention and treatment, social and structural drivers for STI/HIV vulnerability, prevention, care, and treatment. In his work, he aims to utilize community-based approaches to co-create, implement and evaluate interventions for the most vulnerable adolescents and youth.
