About

Viviana Deltas is a Senior Research Program Coordinator with the Center for Prevention Research and Development (CPRD) at the University of Illinois School of Social Work in Urbana-Champaign. She serves as data support leader for research and evaluation projects related to Maternal, Infant, Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) funded evidence-based home visiting programs in 21 locations in Illinois and 32 additional home visiting programs funded through the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS). Prior to joining the MIECHV team at CPRD, she was a co-principal investigator for projects related to substance abuse prevention and for the Illinois Youth Survey (a large-scale data collection survey administered in school). Prior to joining the University of Illinois, she worked in Chicago and Boston in projects related to assessing the relationship between physical and mental health, evaluating HIV outreach projects, and assessing access to health services. Viviana has a BA in Industrial engineering, a master’s degree in community health from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and a master’s in social work from Boston University. Viviana is originally from Colombia and is interested in issues of equity and in promoting inclusion and diversity in assessment and program implementation.
