Full-time or part-time Caseworker needed to work with older adults living in independent housing in Champaign County. Responsibilities include supportive counseling, advocacy, assistance applying for benefits, outreach & community education in Champaign County via home visits, telephonic casework, and community events. Candidate will receive virtual training by the creators to implement a depression management program called PEARLS (Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives for Seniors). Candidate will also receive virtual training from the State of Illinois SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) to provide Medicare Counseling. Other trainings and opportunities available for evidence-based program training and other continuing education.

Requires insured vehicle and satisfactory background check. Bachelor’s Degree required. One year work experience in relevant field preferred. Experience working with older adults preferred. Salary range is $16.50 – $17.94 per hour, based on experience. Full-time hours are 7.5 hours/day, plus an unpaid lunch, Monday – Friday. Part-time hours can be negotiated. Generous paid time off.
