Social Work Day of Service 2024

April 16, 2024

students working at Sola Gratia Farms

Event Details:

In celebration of National Volunteer Week – and for a chance for the School of Social Work to enact our profession’s values to engage with and support the local community – the Community Learning Lab is facilitating a Day of Service event on Friday, April 26th with local community partner, Sola Gratia Farm.

This year, School of Social Work students identified Food Insecurity to be a cause in which they would like to support. As such, Sola Gratia Farm – a non-profit urban farm dedicated to producing locally-grown, high-quality natural produce, especially for those with limited food resources – has graciously partnered with us to provide a service-learning opportunity.

This event is open all School of Social Work students, faculty and staff.
