Racial Justice Task Force
The School of Social Work has established a new task force to develop and implement strategies and actions related to racial justice.
Committee information
Over 20 faculty and staff members are serving on this committee, which meets monthly and focuses on three areas of particular interest:
- reviewing the SSW curriculum with a racial justice lens, with the goal of improving racial justice content;
- engaging with our many community partners and members on racial justice issues;
- identifying interdisciplinary racial justice initiatives that relate well to social work, with the intent of building networks on which we can work together with other professions/disciplines. Working groups are assigned to each of these three topics, with the intent to engage in concrete actions this year and beyond.
